Londres est\u00e1 de estreno. El m\u00edtico Museo Victoria & Albert<\/a> acaba de abrir las puertas de la exposici\u00f3n Africa Fashion<\/a>. Disponible para ser visitada hasta el pr\u00f3ximo mes de abril, la muestra se convierte en la primera exposici\u00f3n sobre moda africana del conocido museo, por primera vez en sus 170 a\u00f1os de historia. Un hito que quiz\u00e1s llega tarde, pero llega. Adem\u00e1s, tambi\u00e9n habla sobre moda lenta<\/a>, un concepto en auge. En talentiam<\/em> destacamos esta muestra que marcar\u00e1 el calendario de este oto\u00f1o-invierno 2022\/2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Un paso m\u00e1s hacia la inclusi\u00f3n real<\/h2>\n

Como ya hemos comentado, que el Museo Victoria & Albert<\/a> dedica un espacio a la moda africana en 170 a\u00f1os es un hecho tard\u00edo, pero como se\u00f1ala \u00a0Christine Checinska<\/a>, comisaria de\u00a0Africa Fashion en El Pa\u00eds<\/a>,<\/a> \u00abes m\u00e1s que una exposici\u00f3n; es un primer paso para una instituci\u00f3n m\u00e1s inclusiva\u201d. Asimismo, la experta apunta que han puesto \u00abel foco en la abundancia cultural frente al concepto reduccionista de la escasez<\/strong>\u201d, as\u00ed como han adquirido 70 nuevas piezas y se comprometen a continuar su trabajo continuo con creativos del continente. \u201cSi bien no podemos deshacer 100 a\u00f1os de categorizaci\u00f3n err\u00f3nea e infravaloraci\u00f3n de la noche a la ma\u00f1ana, espero que la gente vea nuestra exposici\u00f3n como un importante paso adelante\u201d, puntualiza.<\/p>\n

\n

La moda lenta: el punto de partida<\/h2>\n

\u201c\u00c1frica no tiene lecciones que aprender sobre\u00a0slow fashion<\/i>\u00a0(moda lenta)\u201d, afirma la dise\u00f1adora maliense\u00a0Awa Meite<\/a> en el medio citado anteriormente. Por ejemplo, Mal\u00ed es uno de los principales exportadores de algod\u00f3n del continente, pero solo procesa el 5% del total. \u201cEste sector genera millones de puestos de trabajo a nivel local, pero las condiciones de vida de los trabajadores del sector siguen siendo precarias<\/strong>. Nuestra lucha es transformar la industria del algod\u00f3n localmente para crear valor a\u00f1adido real\u201d, agrega.\u00a0La reinvenci\u00f3n de los textiles, la introducci\u00f3n de nuevos patrones, fibras y tintes est\u00e1 vigente en un continente donde la imaginaci\u00f3n y la creatividad no escasean.<\/p>\n

Un recorrido por la muestra<\/h3>\n

\u00abDesde la ic\u00f3nica mitad del siglo XX hasta los creativos contempor\u00e1neos a trav\u00e9s de fotograf\u00edas, textiles, m\u00fasica y artes visuales, Africa Fashion explora la vitalidad y el impacto global de una escena de la moda tan din\u00e1mica y variada como el continente mismo<\/strong>\u00ab, leemos en la web del museo. Asimismo, veremos desde un\u00a0look<\/i>\u00a0de la colecci\u00f3n\u00a0Alchemy<\/a>, de Thebe Magugu, creada junto a Noentla Khumalo, estilista y curandera hasta a Nelson Mandela vestido con su camisa ic\u00f3nica Madiba.<\/p>\n
